Alhamdulillah, got nominated for this “beauty” challenge by sister Fatmawaty. The thing is seemingly simple but i never realized it’s this difficult to put beauty in 10 sentences each with a limit of 6 words.
i did the first sentence and no matter how much i tried to abridge it, i came up with 11 words, that’s five above the set limit, so i concentrated, really concentrated, called out the poet in me (i suck at poetry baethewei) and ultimately i came up with this….
This is a dedication to my beautiful wife Leyla for she is the true definition of beauty considering the “beauty” she has brought into my life. Alhamdulillah she is the best gift that Allah gave me after Islam 🙂 I love you to bits habibty!
Now, for the poets out there please don’t be quick to judge my poor attempt at poetry, Fatmawaty left me with very little choice. Remember what someone (Einstein i guess); if you judge a fish by its ability to swim……..you know the drill!!
Beauty; her smile when life’s hard.
Her strength, resilience, patience; all beautiful
Because Allah made her so beautiful,
Beautified the amal swaliha for her,
The love for swala, beautiful recitation,
Love, not for Dunya however beautiful
It may be,akhirah surpasses its beauty.
Beautiful for me, her husband, best friend,
Her habib, solace and beautiful companion.
Her beauty, eternally engraved in my heart.
Phewks, that wasn’t that hard, was it? Oh, almost forgot, am supposed to end this challenge with a favorite quote on guess what, “Beauty”:
“Beauty is something deep, yet so many people (men especially) take at face value!” – Abu Amirah.
My nominations are as follows:
Am out. Happy hunting guys.
